The largest metropoliton area in the country is obviously going to have a wide selection of lasik vision surgeons for you to choose from.  You’re going to find a lot of competition as well because of this large number of doctors.  Make sure you shop around and ask others for referals.  There are a lot of people you know who have had lasik, you just may not realize it yet. Send out an email to all of your friends and ask them if they’ve had lasik and who they used.

If you don’t live in New York, consider taking a trip there to open up your options and selection of doctors.  A Friday surgery and a long weekend in the city isn’t a bad way to have your laser eye correction.
